    What dental procedures do we use in a smile makeover?

    A smile makeover can consist of a number of different procedures: installation of veneers, crowns, dental bridges, implants, orthodontic therapy, gingivoplasty, etc. The therapy plan includes a combination of procedures suited to your needs.

    The speed and duration of your smile makeover depend on the degree of maintenance (or the lack thereof) and dilapidation of your teeth. We promise we will do our best to prepare the teeth as soon as possible to make them healthy and ready for a smile makeover. How long the process will take is always individual and it is only after the dental exam that we can make a rough estimate.

    1st STEP (90 minutes)

    One visit

     

    DIAGNOSTICS (30 min)

    Before the first examination at our clinic, we collect the necessary documentation:

    - CBCT three-dimensional dental scan

    - photo documentation (FULL protocol)

    - intraoral scanning of the upper and lower jaw (digital impression taking)

    - digital scanning of bite and functional movements (the most advanced technique of bite analysis).

     

    FIRST SPECIALIST EXAMINATION (30 min)

    The first specialist examination is performed exclusively by Dr. Mostarac. During the first specialist examination, Dr. Mostarac will analyse your case and come up with an individual therapy plan specifically for you. The examination lasts half an hour and uses the diagnostic knowledge, experience and skills gained while working with the world's best experts.

     

    DEVELOPMENT OF THE THERAPY PLAN AND INITIAL OFFER (30 min)

    Based on the therapy plan, the clinic manager will make an initial offer for you, explain the stages of therapy, find an appropriate financing method and agree on the next step (Step 2) to your more beautiful smile.

    The first step is done in one visit.

    CASE ANALYSIS AND DIGITAL SMILE DESIGN (30 min)

    The diagnosis is followed by bite analysis and Digital Smile Design (DSD) - an advanced procedure for designing a smile that fits your face perfectly. It is performed solely and exclusively by Dr. Mostarac.

    By analysing the photos obtained in this manner, a digital simulation of the new smile is created by using your photo. This way, you will be able to see in advance what your new smile would look like.

     

    DIGITAL 3D PLANNING OF A NEW SMILE (3 hours)

    We turn a Digital Smile Design into a 3D Smile Design. Under the supervision of Dr. Mostarac the CAD/CAM designer defines your new smile down to the smallest aesthetic and technical details. In addition to the appearance of the teeth, we also plan the perfect bite precision in order to achieve perfect aesthetics and functionality. We print the digital smile simulation created in this way with a 3D printer. On that model, we make a 3D silicone impression that is needed to test your new smile. After this phase, you can try on the trial version of your new smile.

     

    TEST DRIVE OF THE NEW SMILE IN THE PATIENT'S MOUTH (30 min)

    A "test drive" is a demonstration of a test smile live on a patient without shaving the teeth. Using a silicone impression, we temporarily place an identical copy of the new smile made of composite material in the mouth. Literally, it's a test of your new smile. In this phase, we analyse whether any corrections are necessary, listen to your comments and define the final design. During this visit, if necessary, we adjust the design, take photos and scan the new condition in order to digitally record the final appearance of the smile. After that, we create a final therapy plan with all phases and a final offer.

    REALIZATION OF A SMILE MAKEOVER

    If you have healthy, correctly aligned teeth and gums in good shape, we can make your smile makeover happen in JUST TWO visits. During the first visit, we prepare the teeth for the installation of veneers and scan the teeth again with a digital scanner. During the second visit, we attach the veneers with glue and that completes the smile makeover. In demanding cases, we also do a fitting of the new smile with the final product. If necessary, we will also make small additional corrections in colour or shape in order to achieve the ideal result. All members of the team participating in the realization of the smile makeover will do their best to make your new smile shine. Dr. Mostarac personally promises patients that they will leave Mostarac Dental Centre with a more beautiful-looking smile.
